Group Hang! (10/20 at 7pm)
A Workshop for Anyone Who
Gets Pooped Out at Parties
You know the moment. You’re standing in a room full of people, holding a drink, nodding along, and part of you is already planning your exit. Another part is wondering why everyone else seems to be having so much fun.
Come hang out with us on October 20th at 7pm at Symposia Bookstore, where Hoboken therapist Andrew Anderson, LPC, will lead a relaxed, interactive session on a simple idea from Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy: that different “parts” of us show up in social situations, and they all have good reasons for how they act.
This Group Hang’s Theme: Curiosity
This session’s focus is curiosity, and how getting curious about what’s happening inside you and others can make parties, dates, and networking
events feel a lot less draining and a lot more interesting.
What to Expect
You’ll try a few low-key exercises with the group (nobody has to share more than they want to) and leave with at least one thing you can use at your very next social event. No therapy experience needed, and this is a fun hang, not a therapy group.
Andrew is a licensed professional counselor with a private practice in Hoboken, trained in IFS and IFIO therapies. Before becoming a therapist, he spent over a decade as a teacher.
